So,what has really kept us busy here at IAC?
First of all, testing went to the roof this month. Our weekends were everything but peaceful with all the regular and additional testing dates. Many of you will ultimately see the benefit from all the testing –if you scored well,of course.
With all the testing going around,it’s no miracle some other projects were running slower than anticipated. One of those projects is our new membership plan. Two new external memberships were launched last week and you can see the details on our special page members.iacbg.org. That page is going to be the starting point for anyone who wants to become our member. Be sure to visit it often to see new developments!
External memberships are designed to assist people who would like to be our members and get some kind of assistance with the test preparation. During the past couple of years we heard a lot of your complaints about living too far away for our regular preparation cycles. These memberships are going to help you in some way to get the books and the necessary assistance for preparation. The distance should not be the problem anymore. So far,we have created SAT and GMAT external memberships –contact us for more details or look at the page mentioned above.
International cooperation is also at the top of our priorities. We started the intensive communication with academic institutions abroad in order to show you more choices for your future study place. Each new member in the external membership plan will get a copy of the material we received up to that day, while others may see it in our office during our working hours.
The project that will naturally follow this one is to enable all those institutions abroad an easier access to the information you are willing to share with them. You will receive an update about this project in the next couple of months –maybe even faster if you become our member
Our ongoing plan is to keep in touch with you all the time we can. We decided to open an account at Twitter,as many of you have probably done so far. Check our updates on Twitter. They won’t be much more different than those on the Facebook, but some of you may try to avoid the latter and actually study something.
Speaking of Facebook –don’t forget to visit our group and page to get more information and updates. With all the recent changes of the Facebook pages it may be pretty hard to find all the information you used to access easily before. Don’t give up –we’ll try all we can to make it simpler and more accessible again.
Our blog here can also be added to your iGoogle page. You may find the link for this gadget at our forum page. That way you can be informed about new posts as they appear on the blog page. Of course, you can still subscribe to available rss feeds and get the information.
You probably noticed more than several blog posts from our members who are currently studying or about to begin. We are sure you will find those posts useful. At the same time, there will be some posts describing student life abroad. Keep watching these pages for new posts and feel free to express your opinion.
This month and the one ahead of us present the most stressful period in the life of any applicant for the US colleges and universities. Please feel free to contact us once the responses from institutions start coming to you –the assistance we can provide may be crucial to you. Whatever you do –think before you respond to those letters!
We would also love to share the list of our resources with you. In the next period you may see the list of our books, reference material and college promotional material online. Unfortunately, most of our material cannot be taken outside the premises, but you can freely browse during our office hours.
We will continue our efforts to inform and prepare you even better –you just keep up the good work. Don’t forget to contact us if you need assistance with any issue that may appear.
