This month will not be as hectic as the previous one, but we still have many things to do.
It seems that no day can pass without the discussion about colleges and their decisions about your future. This month will be all about this hot topic, whether you like it or not. Read our stories about it at our blog page, or follow up stories posted at our Facebook page. There are way too many reasons for colleges refusing or accepting your application and these articles may help you understand the logic behind it.
Future undergraduate student at the American University in Bulgaria will also receive their answers this month. It will include the amount of financial aid, but those who didn’t show enough knowledge of English would be asked to accept one of the language programs. We can immediately advise you to think about it seriously – it may seem like a waste of time but we can assure you it is surely not that. One or two semesters of English at the very institution you are planning to attend may be more than useful. We’ll be able to assist you with all the questions or issues you may have with the application to this university.
Testing will not be as prominent part of our work as it was last month. The only TOEFL iBT date in April is already behind us. If you want to register for May or June dates, you should hurry up. It is very hard to register for Belgrade testing centers, so you should plan ahead.
Graduates who are planning to take GMAT should also have their schedule planned well in advance. April seems to be the month when many of you intended to take it. Some additional seats may be added to the current schedule if it gets too difficult to test during this month.
We are currently working on several plans of connecting all of you who studied in the US at some point in life. You will know more about many of those plans later this year, but you can surely start by coming to our Alumni event for students who finished some college, graduate or any other program in the US. Don’t forget the date for this event – April 30. Other details are available on our Calendar.
There will be two groups starting the preparation cycle this month. SAT will begin on April 10, while the GRE group will start in the last week of April. Don’t forget to reserve your seat in the group if you plan to prepare!
Our members who are getting geared up for the SAT testing in May and June should not forget the regular weekly testing simulations. They tend to be very useful for understanding the real exam and should not be neglected. Contact us to schedule your tests.
Those of you who are still window shopping for possibilities abroad should pay attention to our Forum. In the area “Study in the US” two forums are probably interesting for you. Scholarships and fellowships and Opportunities abroad are the forums visited frequently by the people who need offers and the financial aid. Students in the field of Art will probably be glad to hear that we managed to increase the number of offers they may be interested in. See them all at our Forum!
We wrote about it and spoke a lot, but it is not bad to do it again in this blog entry. Our exclusive external membership offer for people outside of Belgrade will be extended in couple of days. If you are preparing to tackle GRE, we are sure this membership will help you. Take a look at the current memberships and bookmark the page – new membership is about to be created.
