Our discussion board has been under constant pressure from the spam bots for quite some time. The last major improvement to the software has been implemented over six months ago.
In the meantime,spam bots managed to break once unbreakable Invision software we are using for our board. The good news is that the new version of the board is in the beta testing as we speak,and it lived to see four versions in this phase. The bad news is that no one can tell when will the regular version 3.0.0 be available for the download.
We will be patient and wait for the software package to be ready to download. One of the reasons we refused to test beta version was the headache of fixing some serious issues in a time when you need our resources the most. We are cleaning spam bots manually as they appear and hopefully,before they send their malicious content.
The great news is that this version of the Invision board will include some seriously new and useful features. One example for that is Facebook connectivity gadget –something we will use with our accounts to get the board and our social activity connected.
Finally,the last warning about the spam bot activity was related to the private message system in our board software. None of you complained so far,but there was a possibility that some of you may have been affected with this spam. Please let us know if it is the case. The patch has been added to prevent this spam issue in the future,so you don’t have to worry about it.
