The weather in Belgrade is changing this week from hot to very humid and rainy, but our plans are not like that. We did plan our holidays and won’t be intimidated in changing those easily. Our goal was to have some time out of the office without closing important testing and preparation days. Our hours of business may slightly change, but it’s nothing you should worry about. You should pay attention to your own plans for the summer and this fall if you really want to go to the college in the US.
In terms of testing days, you can expect less activity in the next two months. There will be only one administration of TOEFL iBT in July and one in August,so you better plan your testing accordingly. GMAT and other tests will keep the current schedule, twice a week. We certainly hope you know that the next SAT is scheduled in October –our members are invited to keep preparing with us. If you are not our member yet, there are several ways to prepare –check out this page http://members.iacbg.org. Keep your eyes on the SAT web page www.collegeboard.com and plan where and when you can take it in Belgrade and our neighborhood. We can assist you with that,of course.
There are some ways you can help yourself with preparation and future college application this summer. We will be needing volunteers for small and not so small projects at the Center premises and online. If you are seriously preparing to apply at US colleges and universities this fall you may benefit from this experience. The best among you may count on our total assistance in this process, the one that includes special recommendation letters. Also, there is something else we will be talking about in the near future –financial assistance for SAT testing for the best of you. There will be more information about this soon, but the most important thing you should know about is that we will pay the testing for the chosen few. If you are interested in this send us an e-mail at office@iacbg.org. The same e-mail will be monitored for those of you who will take initiative about volunteering before we even announce it
