Ah, the glorious month of April is almost here with us – the sun is shining, winter jackets are forgotten and there are many reasons not to study and prepare for important exams.
It would be pretty serious on your behalf to try as hard as you can to fight the urge to throw away all the books and forget the goals. The end of the year when you are supposed to apply to all the colleges and universities will come sooner than you think. We will try to keep you focused as much as we can.
In the month of April many of you reading this will be faced with the serious dilemma – to go or not to go. Chances are that the great number of you will not get enough financial aid to be exactly where you would like to be and some sacrifices would have to be made. It will either be larger contribution from your family, change to another school, or postponing your American experience for the graduate level. Whatever it is, please talk to our advisers if you don’t know what to do.
Undergraduate students will soon have the chance to talk to us about their problems, both those on the wait list and those who didn’t get enough funds from institutions. Graduate students are first in line, as their time to answer comes first – April 15 for most institutions. We will have the special advising free of charge for graduate students who are still in doubt what to do with finances and choice of institutions. Read more details here – http://www.iacbg.org/board/index.php?showtopic=1901.
We will restart our external program in April – expect more online services and less travelling to Belgrade. Many existing external members will be able to resume and finish their activities of the last year in the months to come. However, many are already finished and are waiting to see their results.
Testing is going to be somewhat the same like last month, apart from some additional dates for TOEFL. We will have a debut of the new test – ACT. You can take it regularly from June – read more here – http://www.iacbg.org/.res/File/act_novo_c.pdf. Many of you will have deadlines coming in soon, so please register for tests early.
