May at the IAC

Our office has been pretty busy in the last couple of weeks. It seemed we could not find any time to sit down and write more than couple of sentences. Describing all the events in this month would take more than that, that’s for sure.

We have kicked off the month with SAT and TOEFL exams during the first two Saturdays of the month. There will be more TOEFL to follow this month – two more testing dates, to be precise. June will be similar, but in addition to SAT and TOEFL we will have ACT as well. The next month will be pretty packed when it comes to testing. We just hope you registered in time for these exams, as the seats may fill pretty fast.

Main event of the month is the planned visit to every American Corner in Serbia. We will start with Novi Pazar on May 10 – the rest of the schedule is located here – http://www.iacbg.org/board/index.php?showtopic=1926. Our advisors will talk to all the people interested in studying abroad or preparing for important exams. Center has slightly changed the plan on external memberships for people outside of Belgrade and this may be your chance to hear more about it.

If you need to take your US college or university exams online or in writing at secured locations, please do remember us. We already have enough experience in organizing such tests for local students at our premises and are willing to continue. The fee you pay is pretty modest compared to the flying and living abroad. More details about this offer will be shared with you soon.

Another date that will be shared with you is the day of our Pre-Departure Conference for the future students in the US. We will organize it very soon, but are waiting to hear from all of you, since many did not receive or send back the final answer to colleges and universities. Those of you who would like to apply for the US visa already, please pay attention to the new rules of applying. More details are available at the US Embassy web site or at our site - http://www.iacbg.org/.res/File/visas_apply_e.pdf.

Center would be very happy to hear the details of your success or answer your issues with the US colleges and universities. Your enrollment details will be kept secret from others – we need some of the information for our annual statistic reports. Call, e-mail, walk on by – Don’t be strangers.
