The International Academic Center is currently hiring for the position of teacher for college preparation classes. The position is part time and the working hours will be determined at the later time.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The selected candidate is responsible for U.S. college long-term preparation courses, as well as some of the standardized test preparations offered at the Center.
The position demands fluency in spoken and written English. The position is part-time with the possibility of upward mobility within the IAC organization.
College/University, Bachelor’s level minimum.
B. Prior Work Experience:
None required, although a thorough understanding of the U.S. education system and standardized tests needed for undergraduate studies in the United States is a plus.
C. Entry Level Training:
On the job training for specific needs of the preparation programs.
Must have solid knowledge of spoken and written English. Must have the ability to follow policy and procedure with fine attention to detail. Science or Liberal Arts education background highly desirable. Participants in exchange programs, especially UGRAD/Forecast, are encouraged to apply.
E. Skills and Abilities:
Must possess exceptional organizational and teaching skills.
I. Supervision Received:
The incumbent works under the supervision of the Teaching Department Head.
II. Available Guidelines:
Center’s policies and procedures, and written and oral instructions from the Teaching Department Head.
III. Exercise of Judgment:
Expected to exercise judgment in working with preparation clients.
IV. Authority to Make Commitments:
V. Nature, Level, and Purpose of Contacts:
Primary contact is with test preparation and college preparation course clients.
